Nancy Guthrie’s health revealed and the medications she needed to survive

As the search continues for Nancy, authorities have stressed that she must take medication daily for her survival, something she likely won’t need.

“This is an 84-year-old lady who suffers from some physical ailments, has physical difficulties and needs medication,” Nanos explained at the February 2 press conference, “medication which, if she does not take it within 24 hours, could be fatal.”

“So we invite anyone who knows anything about this, who has seen or heard anything, to contact us,” he continued. “Call 911. We don’t need another bad, tragic ending. We need help.”

Although Nancy’s physical health has been limited for some time, Nanos emphasized that her cognitive abilities are quite strong.

“Nancy Guthrie is of very sound mind,” Nanos explained. “It’s not related to dementia. She’s as sharp as a thumbtack. The family wants everyone to know she’s not someone who just wandered off. Her physical limitations are based solely on age.”

As the investigation into Nancy’s disappearance continues, Nanos shared his hopes for Nancy’s safe return.

“I hope we find her safe and sound,” he stressed, “but we cannot ignore what is in front of us.”
